a trip to LIBA,CHENNAI

Hey guys, today I returned from Loyola Institute of Business Administration,LIBA ,Chennai.We went there for Chrysalis-07, for participating in Exquisite-07-battle of quizzing minds from reputed B schools across India. Well I didn’t have any intentions to participate but back here at MANAGE after winning finals of B-quiz, I was approached by Sami to participate in Exquisite-07.I was set for a great weekend and as hospitable Loyolites were paying for to and fro journey by sec sleeper train, we reached LIBA, nungambakkam after being tormented by hunger pangs (Charminar express doesn’t have a pantry).

Well though LIBIANS had very small rooms, where two guys were made to live in a single room (that was in fact a rest room for various species of mosquitoes) yet LIBIANS were quite hospitable.Sincerely. We came across energetic and smiling faces, answering each and every query; they really had the spirit of true host. Though I don’t remember all of names I remember two, Devashish and Rosy.You took great care of our comfort, team CHRYSALIS. Thanks frens.

Gals there were quite beautiful. Kudos to you gals (one should praise beauty).

There were few more things I would like to praise; entire concept of Chrysalis was unique. There was coherence in theme, name of games, concept of game, even the very pictures and old English fonts you guys used in typography. It made one to relate back to ancient Roman era. The concept of Espirit De Corps, the last stand, Trojan horse, battle of Thermopyales was good. It was well in coherence with ancient Gothic Church they have at Loyola. One of the good churches I visited.

Competitions like Graffiti, face painting, cartoon strip, I am lucky added to overall youthfulness and vibrancy of campus. Well MANAGE team-ASMI(Aman/Saumendra) emerged as winner in Cartoon strip and Graffiti, and runner up in Face-off winning lots of gift vouchers.( Gaurab-I screwed up your face creating a battleground. thanx to your patience, dude.)

The quiz really blew up our minds. Tremendous quizzers quizzed by tremendous quizmaster Balasubramanayaam alias pickbrain really make us know what a real quiz is like. In other words wo quiz bachcho ke khelne ki chiz nahi thi (that was not meant for amateurs, only professional quizzers could crack that kind of quiz. That was a day for INFOSYS. congrats INFOSYS. you are really driven by intelligence. You stood true to your name. Hey guys I also won one Qadbury gift hamper for answering a pass from teams on dais to audience.

But dear Loyolites let me also write my grievances, you gave gift vouchers that could be used only in Chennai. It does not make any sense yaar, when you have majority of participants from outside Chennai and you kept those vouchers as price, it carried no meaning. In my opinion a certificate or a Tee would have been better option, some memorablia of great college.

See my team alone won worth 6350/-worth gift vouchers along with lots of promotional gimmicks of some retail outlet SKC, but to me they were just a piece of paper.even we went to sathyam multiplex, but he dint turn them in to service that was worth amount beared by voucher. Improve on this thing and you will improve the quality of Chrysalis-08.

Any way, that was feedback of three day trip to LIBA,Chennai. All the best Loyolites for your placements and career ahead. Kudos to you team chrysalis,for your athithi devo bhav(guests are at par with God and give them all the best you have) feelings.
